Use toilet paper rolls to create simple, beautiful paper lanterns. You’ll need:

  • Toilet paper roll
  • Scissors
  • Acrylic paint
  • Pencil
  • Paint brush
  • Glue
  • Wire for hanging

First, cut the tube open vertically and then cut it in half horizontally as shown in the image. Next, cut 2 inches off of the tube. Paint the inside yellow to make it look like it’s glowing from the inside and use a desired color for the outside. Allow it to dry, and then fold in half horizontally. Make small evenly spaced cuts beginning on the fold to ¼ inch from the open edge. Glue the lantern closed and squash down a bit to shape it. Use floral wire 20 for the handle.
